Dreaming the future now

asteria’s rest

Darling… I do not dream of labor

- James Baldwin

The future is now and we make it with our own choices.

Asteria’s Rest has 3 goals:

  • An intentional living community with a food forest, workshop, livestock, community gardens and meals, but separate living spaces for “families” - whatever that means to you.

  • A place for anyone to rest away from capitalism for whatever reason for any length of time. If at any time you choose to stay permanently, we will work out the housing and community living details, but while you are here to rest you are here to rest.

  • Retreat and rest - a bed and breakfast hosting retreats as funding for the rest of our community. Visitors support our rest goals with their dollars, and we support their rest with powerful retreats. Time off can be life changing.
